Discover The Food Made Good Standard

The Food Made Good Standard is a global certification focused on sustainability for food businesses, including restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, catering companies and even cinemas. Developed and managed by The SRA (The Sustainable Restaurant Association), this comprehensive program evaluates how well these establishments implement practices that are good for both people and planet. It aims to help businesses assess their sustainability efforts and provides a clear path for further improvement. By earning this certification, food businesses can demonstrate their commitment to responsible environmental and social practices, gaining the trust of customers, staff and stakeholders alike.

How Does The Food Made Good Process Work?

Holistic and evidence-driven, the Food Made Good Standard includes an online assessment with about 250 questions organized into three main-pillars: Sourcing, Society, and Environment, further divided into 10 focus areas.

The SRA (The Sustainable Restaurant Association) team of sustainability experts reviews the answers and evidence provided to evaluate each business's sustainability practices.

They then calculate a final score, issue the certification, and provide a final report with personalized recommendations for improvement. This process enables businesses to improve their sustainability practices even further and make a positive difference in their communities.
